Shirley Anne (Locker) Cox

Shirley Anne (Locker) Cox, 82, of Kettering, passed away June 16, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 6, 1931 in Dayton. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, William Locker Sr. and Helen Hoffman; son, William Gregory Cox; brother, William Locker Jr. and sister, Norma Jean Coehick. She is survived by her children, Brenda Landis, Robert (Rosemary) Cox, Mark Cox and Craig (Lisa) Cox; sister in law Margie Locker, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and very special dog, Dewey. Shirley was known as grandma to all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton, the Locker and Coehick families for all their love and support through this process. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
