SPRAGUE, Shirley A.
Age 62, passed away March 8, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Shirley was dearly loved and will be missed immensely. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Lavonne Beveridge.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Sprague; sons, Andrew Suttles, Aaron Alltop, John Marshall, Stephen (Kate) Sprague; daughter, Kelly (Elmer) Sebastian; sister, Bonnie; niece, Lavonne; numerous dear grandchildren whom she adored; and her family from Good Samaritan Hospital.
Shirley received her Bachelors in Nursing and was a Staff Nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital. She has been involved in many committees during her time at GSH such as Unit Council and ACE-Clinical Ladder. Shirley was a leader who performed relief charge and was a mentor to all staff. Shirley was also honored as the recipient of the prestigious "DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses".
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
