Sheryl Dawn Harken, age 57 of Huber Heights, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday morning, January 25, 2021. Sheryl was born June 7, 1963 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Kent and Una Mae Nielsen. Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Kent Nielsen.
Sheryl is survived by her husband Rick Harken; sons Jake Harken, Seth Harken (Katelyn), Zachary Harken and daughter Rebekah Pedroncelli (Jerett); grandchildren Maelynn Pedroncelli, Everleigh Harken and Cash Pedroncelli; mother Una Mae Nielsen; sisters Denise Petersen (Jerry), Lynette Knudsen (Dan) and brother Kevin Nielsen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sheryl loved being with family, her kids and grandkids, she loved Christmas, family vacations to Disney, Silver Dollar City, and exploring National Parks and the great outdoors, especially waterfalls. Sheryl was a loving wife, mother, nana, daughter, sister and friend with such a kind and generous heart. More than anything, Sheryl loved being a mom and nana who loved Jesus!
A service and celebration of her life is being planned in her hometown of Council Bluffs, Iowa at a later date.
