Sherry Ann Sheets, (76) of Dayton, passed away on September 29, 2022 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born on August 4, 1946 in Hamilton, Ohio the daughter of the late James A. and Jannetta (Mary) Johnson nee' Mottlo. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert and Larry; two sisters, Karen Johnson and Donna Hawkins; and mother-in-law whom she loved dearly, Vera Sheets.
Sherry is survived by her deeply devoted husband of 44 years, Bradley Sheets; three dedicated sons, Troy, Robert (Angela), and Bradley (Ashlee) Sheets; eight amazing grandchildren, Emily, Taylor, Sarah, Lauren, Ashton, Gabriel, Liam and beautiful baby Scarlett; four siblings, Betty Johnson, Novella (Kevin) Pyle, Mary (Jerry) Young, and Byron Johnson; two life longs friends, Kathy Higinbothom and Sue Mustard; and special neighbor, Linda Parr. Sherry is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as numerous other family and friends.
Sherry loved her family very much, never met a stranger, and would do anything for anyone. She was generous, kind, loved by many people, and will be deeply missed. She touched many lives and made countless friends working as a supervisor in the kitchen at Kettering Medical Center for 20 years. She also dedicated 20 years at the University of Dayton as a supervisor in the Kennedy Union. Sherry was a great cook that made the best food and always had an open door policy, "if you are hungry, come and eat". She loved and cared for animals her entire life and rescued countless dogs, cats, and birds. She loved camping, going to the lake with her kids, and later in life going on cruises with Brad.
Throughout the 44 years of marriage there was always constant and playful banter between her and Brad about Pepsi vs Coke and Michigan vs Ohio State. But even though she loved her husband immensely her heart belonged to the bucks! O.H.I.O!
