Sherry Schaefer, 80, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2023. Loving wife of Glen Schaefer for 57 years, cherished mother of Nicole Schaefer and Ryan (Carrie) Schaefer, treasured grandmother (Nana) of Morgan Schaefer and Miller Schaefer and beloved aunt of Kenny Blubaugh, Jami Blubaugh and Jennifer Ash.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents Viola and Jack Williams, sister Amy Williams, and first cousin and honorary brother Michael Snyder.
Sherry was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 16, 1942. She never met a stranger and showed love to everyone she came in contact with. Her passions were fishing, arts and crafts, crochet, dancing, and spending time with her family and lifelong friends. She spent her working years as an executive administrative assistant for Delco Moraine where she met her husband Glen. They had two children of their own, but also became second parents to all of the neighborhood kids. Sherry was known as Mom Schafer to them. Sherry loved the outdoors. As a family they would go camping and spend time at their cabin in Kentucky. Mom Schafer was a second mom to 20 bonus kids and loved them as if they were her own. She has a big impact on their lives and will be immensely missed by all.
Family will be celebrating Sherry's life in the spring of 2023.
