Sherry Powell

Sherry Diane Powell, age 69 of Dayton, passed away June 9, 2016. She was born April 3, 1947 in Dayton to the late Ivan and Josephine Clutter. In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her brothers: Larry Clutter and Barry Clutter.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 39 years, Larry Powell; son, Ben Rangel; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Skyler, Brandon and Alexis; brother, Michael Clutter; and sisters: Barbara (Mark) Cummings and Mary Jo Clutter.

Sherry was a very kind and generous woman who always put others before herself. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed gardening and camping. Through all of life's ups and downs, Sherry proved to be a fighter. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where a funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. Contributions may be made in Sherry's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
