Sherrill Ann Funk, age 80 of Centerville, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024. She was born January 25, 1944 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia to the late William and Gladys Miller. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman Funk and brother, Merrill Miller.
Sherrill is survived by her two sons, Jonathan (Jacqueline) Funk and Bryan (Shari) Sturgill; four grandchildren, Amanda Sturgill, Emilie Sturgill, Tyler Gamber and Ashley (Kevin) Cunningham; five siblings, Bobby (Glenna) Miller, Roger (Mary) Miller, Gaye Fraley, Susan (Jim) Fuller, and Mary (Barry) Stephenson; and special friends, Kate (Nathan) Brooks and Betty (Dave) Pickthorn. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Sherrill graduated from Powell Valley High School in Big Stone Gap, Virginia and began her career with Dayton Power and Light where she met the love of her life, Herman Funk. She then moved into direct sales where she was a motivational speaker that helped thousands of women to be successful in their career. Sherrill enjoyed entertaining guests, crafting and decorating, and was a devout Christian. The most important thing to Sherrill was her family and her faith. She is well loved and will be deeply missed.
The family hopes those who would like to honor her will find a quiet time to remember who she was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 8th at 2:30pm for all friends and family at 2815 Factory Rd. Springboro, OH 45066.
