Sherri Waldron, age 59 of Dayton, passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy battle with cancer on February 7, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born July 29, 1962 in Salt Lake City, UT to the late Carl and Joyce (Howard) Johnson.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Michael; children, Jeremy (Amber) Waldron, Melissa (Ricky) Nickolette, Katie (Nathan) Johnson, Ben (Andrea) Waldron and Dan Waldron; grandchildren, Graylon, Colter, Declan, Scarlett, Colin, Ethan, Acie, Roger and Lydia; brothers, David (Rose) Johnson, Scott (Gina) Johnson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Throughout her life, Sherri had many hobbies that brought her joy including gardening, quilting, cross-stitching, cooking and hiking. Sherri had a deep passion for her work at the Washington-Centerville and Woodbourne Public Libraries. She loved teaching the primary children at church and watching them grow and develop in testimony of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. Sherri's focus was always on her eternal family and her love extended to everyone she knew.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff from Hospice of Dayton.
Family will receive guests from 9:30-10:30 AM on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 901 E. Whipp Rd., Dayton, 45459. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM with Bishop David Bright officiating. The service will also be livestreamed at: https://youtu.be/9a0IApKLUf4.
