SMITH, Sherman D. age 77 of Kettering, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at The Oaks of West Kettering.
He was preceded in death by his wives Velma Smith and Beverly Smith, and his brothers Bill, Arthur and Eugene Smith. He is survived by his sons Gary L. of San Marcos, TX, David L. of Kettering, Rodney D. of Sidney, Roger of Knoxville, TN and George Holland of Fort Loramie; grandchildren Amity Sue Roney Smith, Aaron Smith, Daniel Sherman Smith, Jessica and husband Ryan Plessinger; 2 great grandchildren; sister Lyda and husband Bill Johnston of South Bend, IN; sister-in-law Wilma Jean Penn Smith of Otway, OH and a host of other relatives and friends.
Sherman spent many years at Moler's Dairy in Belmont and Meadow Gold Dairy, and most recently worked at Jet Express in Dayton.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Mt. Joy Christian Church 12641 State Rt. 772 Otway, OH 45657, with Rev. Gary L. Smith officiating. In loving memory of Sherman, contributions may be made to Mt. Joy Christian Church, Att.: Ruth Mecum. Flowers may be sent to Peebles Flower Shop 25905 State Rt. 41 Peebles, OH 45660, (937) 587-3339.
