Shelva Jean "Jeanie" Petrey
Age 71, of Huber Heights, passed away Monday, March 3, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer & Nettie Crowe; brother, Charles Crowe; and by her ex-husband, Philip Petrey. Jeanie is survived by two children, Keith Petrey and Penny & Byron Drazer; three grandchildren, Brittney, Bryant & Christina; two sisters, Geneva Kouse and Nellie Goings; numerous nieces and nephews; and by her two beloved pets, Hershey & Hawthorne. Jeanie worked at DESC and retired from WPAFB. The family would like to thank Dr. Romer, Dr. Pacia and staff, and also the staff of Hospice of Dayton and Good Samaritan Hospital for the loving care they provided to Jeanie. The family will be receiving friends from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m., Friday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton.
