Shelby "Buck" Stamper, Age 91, of Dayton, OH, passed away January 6, 2020 at Miller Farm Assisted Living. He was born March 30, 1928 in Campton, KY, the son of the late Reece and Esther Stamper. He was one of 10 children and preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Buck is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Stamper, whom they were married 43 years.
Buck is survived by his daughter, Connie Johnson, two grandsons, Justin and Zachary, and three great grandchildren, James, Jayce, and Azalea, one remaining sister, Jennie Lindon of Lexington, KY, his nephew, Keith Stamper, niece, Karen Scott, good friend, Maudie, and other family and friends.
Buck volunteered and honorably served our country in the army as a cook during the Korean War. He retired from Dayton Bag & Burlap.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020, from 6 to 8 pm at Newcomer North Dayton Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd).
Funeral Service will follow on Friday, January 10, 2020, 10 am at Newcomer North Chapel.
Burial immediately after at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
