Sheila Fauble, age 77, of Xenia, passed away on July 25, 2024. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 5, 1947, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Whittington.
She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 52 years, Gary Fauble; her loving daughter, Erin (Chris) Zimbelman; "Grand-dogs", Daisy and Damn It Janet; sister, Joyce (Rick) Smith; niece and nephew, Shelly (Dan) Lestrud and Robbie (Shannon) Smith; and many other loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sheila was a graduate of Xenia High School, Class of 1965, and then she graduated from Ohio University, Class of 1969. She was a Special Education Teacher for many years, retiring from Xenia City Schools. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, cooking, volunteering for various organizations and spending time at the Xenia YMCA. Sheila had a heart of gold and was devoted to those she loved. Her friends and family knew that she was always there for them. Through her years of teaching, she touched many lives. Sheila was very outgoing and had a wonderful sense of humor but her family meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially around the holidays and changing seasons, which she loved to celebrate.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia.
