Shawn A. Ray

Ray, Shawn A., 41, of Dayton, formerly of Georgetown, KY passed away December 29, 2016.

Shawn was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Sue Ray, his uncle Linville Jenkins, brother, Jeffrey Simason, sister, Virginia Simason.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Tyler Ray; granddaughter, Addison Ray whom he deeply loved; grandparents, Ethel and Dave Fleming; siblings, Jeremy Ray, Holly Mullins, Chuckie Murdock, Monique Murdock, Rodney Simason, Jenny Simason-Kuhns, Amanda Simason; father, Gary Simason; several aunts and uncles, Brian, Brenda, Cheryl, Henry, Debbie, Beth; his former wife and friend, Heather Ray, and many other relatives and friends.

Shawn had a huge heart and was very kind and caring. He always opened his door for anyone. He loved riding his motorcycle, was really good with his hands, carpentry and roofing. Shawn worked at Toyota for many years.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Rd. where funeral service will be held 1:30pm Friday, January 6, 2017. Shawn will be laid to rest at Willow View Cemetery.
