A Bit of Shaun’s Life: He was born on January 13th, 1973, and raised in Xenia, Ohio. Graduated from Xenia High School, in 1991, and continued his journey to experience a variety of careers. However, found a steady appreciation for painting and repairing the structures of many locations around.
Shaun had three children, whom he loved very dearly and meant the world to him. Listed in order from eldest to youngest; Orion Kurrek, Elijah Kurrek, and Trinity Kurrek. All with his wife at the time, Misty Kurrek.
He lived his life as a very kind and generous soul. He gave everything he had in everything he did, even if he had nothing to give. Shaun is a man who would give you the shirt on his back if it was all he had. He cared about others more than himself, even though that got in his way sometimes. And he would absolutely never fail to make you laugh or smile one way or the other. Whether it was by laughing with you, relocating a dislocated joint, or fixing your car, he always tried to help in any way he knew how.
Shaun was and forever will be a very loving father, brother, son, uncle, grandfather, friend, and human being. He was known to have such a good heart. He always tried to be kind to everyone he met. And he made many friends along the way, some he came to call family.
In 2022, Shaun was diagnosed with cancer. He had undergone a couple of surgeries and scheduled chemotherapies to help in his treatment. Shaun recovered once, though unfortunately, the cancer returned and continued to grow. He was in and out of the hospital until he passed, at 11:47 pm, May 24th, 2024, at the age of 51. Surrounded by friends and family, he was able to leave in comfort and swarmed in love. He stayed strong through it all. We know Shaun fought till the end and now watches over us peacefully from above, eternally in the loving arms of the Lord.

Isaiah 57:1-2
"The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness."
