Taylor, Sharon S. (Hoppe-Garnica) age 71 passed away August 17, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 23, 1942, the daughter of Harriet and Robert Hoppe, who preceded her in death. Sharon loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren more than anything. She also enjoyed sports, cooking, and baking, music, travel, being in or around water, and her many volunteer activities. Sharon 'COOKIE' the clown was a member of the 'Anything But Serious' clown troupe at Kettering Hospital. She had a wonderful childhood, growing up on a small farm, with extended family and friends around every weekend.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband Carl of 22 years. Also survived by sons Kevin Garnica (Kathleen), Jeff Garnica, Greg Garnica (Tanya) and daughter Michelle (Chris), brothers Robert Hoppe Jr., Richard Hoppe (Linda), and Ken Hoppe (Pat). Also survived by step daughters Stacey LeFevre (Chris), and Stephanie McCarty (Brian).
Also 11 grandchildren, aunts Phyllis Jones and Dorothea Young. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many many good friends. Also a sister of her heart Maureen Hopkins.
A celebration of Life will be held at Fairborn United Methodist church on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Aaron Chivington officiating. A gathering for family and friends will follow after the service until 5:00 pm at the church.
