November 1, 1954 – June 4, 2023


On the evening of June 4, 2023, Sharon (Ferrell) Patterson passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side. She left this world with the setting sun and a warm breeze through the trees, completely enveloped by love.

She was born to Eldon and Wilma Ferrell. She is survived by her husband James, son James (Richie), daughter Joanna, son-in-law Daniel, grandsons Hunter and Chase, best friend Steve Locker, and her beloved extended family.

Sharon was loved deeply by many, as she touched countless lives with her endless love and light. She loved, cared, nurtured, and advocated passionately all her life. Her love for animals and nature transcended her already gracious heart, which remained a pillar to her loving nature. She was a nurturing mother to her children as well to anyone who needed love, guidance, a warm embrace, or a home cooked meal. We will fondly remember her and her love of cooking, gardening, creating a warm and loving home for her family, and years of wonderful memories shared.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. We will cherish her memory as her light will forever shine within our hearts.


Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30th, 2023, from 10:00am-11:00am, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where a Celebration of her Life will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow services at David's Cemetery, Dayton.
