WENDLING, Sharon, age 58, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010. She is preceded in death by her father, Clyde Smith; grandson, Devin Wendling, and brother-in-law, Richard Fullaway. Sharon is survived by her husband of 39 years, Steven Wendling; mother, Margaret Goldshot; children, Mark (Heather) Wendling, Brian (Stephanie) Wendling, Mike, Keith, and Staci Wendling; grandchildren, Gary and Kendra Wendling, Tayler Fenton, Caitlyn Jordan, Celena Jones, and (due in November) Emma Briann Wendling; sisters, Berniece (John) Marshall and Pat Fullaway; nephew, Johnny; niece, Ellen, numerous other nieces, nephews, and "adopted" sons and daughters. She volunteered as a Pee Wee Bumper Bowling Coach at Poelking Marians Lanes since 1994. Sharon was a very active associate member of the VVA Chapter 97 since 1992 and was a McDonald's birthday party coordinator in the mid '90's. She was also very involved in activities at Mt. Zion Church, including their live manger scene. Sharon and her family have been placing flags at Mt. Zion Shoup and Mt. Zion Park Cemeteries on Memorial Day since the early 1950's. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society.
