Shannon S. Nelson, age 59, of Kettering, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Nelson and brother, Mark Nelson.
Shannon is survived by her sons, Sean Stevens, Nathan Stevens, Dylan Nelson and Galen Nelson; mother, Joan Nelson; siblings, Rick Nelson and Alexis Nelson.
She enjoyed advocating for her city and those less fortunate. Shannon appreciated the beauty of nature.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 5:30 pm at the Dayton Canoe Club (1020 Riverside Dr., Dayton, OH 45405).
Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel.
