Shannon Hurt

Hurt, Shannon, age 61, of Medway, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 11, 2008. He was born September 6, 1946 in Canel City, KY, the son of Stanley & Maxine Hurt. He retired from Delphi in 1998 with 32 years of service. Shannon was a longtime member of Medway Baptist Church where he worshipped and served his Lord as a Sunday School Director. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Stacy Jo Hurt. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda; parents, Stanley & Maxine; daughters, Wendy Hurt and Robin (Mark)Terrel; grandchildren, Kyle, Logan, & Shannon Terrel; sister, Gayle (George) Patricoff; brother, Terence Francis of Canada. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio with Pastor Steve Lookabaugh officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Medway Baptist Church.
