Shane M. Pounds

Shane M. Pounds, age 41, of Huber Heights, passed away on December 2, 2021. Shane was born on October 27, 1980 in Columbus, Ohio to Mike and Sandy Pounds.

Shane was preceded in death by his loving grandma, Dorothy Mullins; grandpa, Ralph Mullins; grandma, Tressie Pounds; and his uncles, Danny Pounds and Junior Pounds. His grandma Dorothy took wonderful care of Shane, and they loved to watch football together and get frosty's.

Shane coached softball and bowling for Wayne High School and for a travel league for many years. He was an avid bowler, and his church and faith were a large part of his life. He was always involved in the youth group and other activities at his church, East Side Mission. He was a huge Michigan football fan, and his favorite movie ever, was A Christmas Story. He even has the bunny pajamas. He never knew a stranger, and was always happy to chat with anyone he met. He was a positive person, always seeing the bright side of life. His wife and children were the most important to him. He was a wonderful husband, devoted father, and he will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

Shane's memory will be cherished by his beloved wife of 17 years, Tammy Pounds; his children: Haley and Skyler Pounds; his parents, Mike and Sandy Pounds; his parents-in-law, Kathy and Mike Church; his brothers, Andrew Pounds and Shad Lyons; his siblings-in-law, Lori (Eirik) Potter and Amber (John) Kuchmek; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, and Shane will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware, Ohio.
