Shane Moore

Shane Moore, age 23, of Dayton, Ohio was granted his heavenly wings on Sunday, July 16th, 2023. His life would seem too short, but to those who were touched by him, understood, the joy of his existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which he lived. His infectious smile and smooth laugh would bring happiness to anyone in which it encountered.

As a young man, Shane grew to be cool, calm, and collected, taking his time with his thoughts and words. He was incredibly orderly and neat, enjoyed fashion, and known to have a 'green thumb' in nurturing plants. He enjoyed a variety of sitcoms and movies such as: Martin, Everybody Hates Chris, New Jack City, and the Twilight Zone. When he wasn't enjoying a good laugh, he spent his quiet time playing Chess or spending time with his dearest friend, Brandon and his G-pa, Lloyd.

He valued sentiments, keeping small gifts and reflecting on sharing the same birth date as his Gigi. He was known for being a foodie while maintaining a tall and slender physique and had long-term goals of becoming a pharmacist. He was truly an entertaining, unique, and beautiful soul to forever be cherished.

Shane is preceded in death by his brother, Mycal J. Dawson, Jr. and is survived by his loving parents, De'Ondra Moore and Mycal Dawson Sr.; siblings, Shari Moore, Shamar Moore, My'Keianna Dawson, Janee Dawson; loving and supportive grandparents; Lloyd and Anita Moore; grandmother, Yolanda Davis; aunts, Dionetta Moore, Dorion Davis; uncles, DaJuan Young, DeMarco Jones, Derrick Davis, Reggie McComb; along with many other beloved friends and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
