Selena C. (Hart) Carter, age 87 of Dayton, on December 2, 2014 reunited with her husband, Johnny Carter; children, Shirley and John; granddaughter, Kristin and son-in-law, Mark Barber. She was born April 16, 1927 in Dayton to the late Frank and Clara (Hoening) Hart. Selena was also preceded in death by her brother, Eldon Hart and sister, Kate Bare.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Karon L. Carter, RN and Diane J. (Larry Arnold) Heckley, D.D.S.; granddaughters, Allison (Nick) Pappas and Morgan (Justin) Banks; great-grandchildren, Cora L. Wyse, Drake and Delilah Mershon, Athena and Aphrodite Pappas; sisters, Clara M. Thies, Mary Lou Weaver; brothers, John (Marilyn) Hart and Bob (Virginia) Hart; special friends, Rita, Susie Reed and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Selena was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church where she was on many committees. She was also a member of the Leisure Club and a greeter. Selena was a member of Brookville Super Seniors and Englewood Senior Citizens Club.
