Scott D. "Scotty" Walker, age 54, of Dayton, passed away May 29, 2017. He was born December 27, 1962 in South Charleston, West Virginia to Jeanie Shauver and Ralph Walker. Scott later lived in Ohio and was employed with the City of Dayton retiring after more than 20 years and then recently went back to work part-time at Woodland Cemetery as a security guard.
He loved riding his Harley motorcycle, hanging out with friends and listening to country music. Scott was an avid fan of the TV show "Survivor". Luck was always on this side evidenced by winning 6 events over several years, the likes of which included 3 trips from the "Regis and Kelly" show. He was also to appear in the movie "The Old Man and the Gun", starring Robert Redford and many other big Hollywood names. Scott was also a member of the F.O.E. on Wayne Ave, where he was lovingly known as "2 O'clock Scott".
Scott was a very giving and kind person who loved to helping others. He always made an impact on others. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Walker in 2015. Scott is survived by his loving daughter, Kristy Ann (Bruce) Moffitt; step-sons, Chris Hicks, and Mark Campbell; grandchildren, Paul and Dakota Moffitt; mother, Jeanie (Bob) Shauver; father, Ralph (Lynn) Walker; brother, Todd (Beth) Walker; sister, Janene (Jeff) Garey; brother, Michael (Kim) Walker; and many nieces ,nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek Chapel.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Woodland Cemetery. Funeral procession will leave from Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel at 10:30 a.m.
