Scott A. Schmit, age 53 of Dayton, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born December 27, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Ronald Schmit and Sharon Miller.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Miller.
Scott is survived by his wife, Rhonda; sons, Robert (Beverly) Schmit, Allan-Michael Schmit; daughter, Alyssa Schmit; father, Ronald (Linda) Schmit; grandchildren, Cooper, Carter, Colton, Sophia, Savannah, Lakyn, Julian; sisters, Lori (Steve), Robin (Mark), Amy (Mark); step-brother, Kyle (Libby); as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Scott was a graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School. He was employed at Buckeye Valley Collision. He enjoyed working on cars, cooking for family and friends and loved going Lake Cumberland.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 7 pm to 9 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424).
