Scott David Hilty, a cherished son, father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 4, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on May 5, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio, Scott lived a life marked by his quiet strength and the profound impact he had on those around him.
Scott was known as a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes. He shared a deep love for the outdoors, finding solace and joy in fishing and exploring nature’s beauty. He worked at Megacity Fire and Security for 20+ years.
Scott is survived by his beloved children, Kaitlyn Lawson and Zachary Hilty, who carry forward his legacy in their own lives. He leaves behind his brother, Kurt Hilty, and sister-in-law, Sandra Hilty. Additionally, Scott maintained a respectful relationship with his ex-wife, Kathy Hilty, with whom he shared many significant life moments. His best friend, Mark Royer, along with Mark's spouse, Amy Royer, stood by Scott throughout his life, offering support and companionship.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn and Larry Hilty. Their love and guidance shaped the man he became, and their memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
In reflecting on Scott's life, we remember him not just for the number of words he spoke, but for the meaningful essence of his presence. His calm demeanor and love for life will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
