Scott E. Burchfield

Scott E. Burchfield, age 41, of Miamisburg, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009. Scott was a member of the Moose Lodge, VFW and FOP. He was a corrections officer in Montgomery County Sheriffs Department for 10years. He was preceded in death by his mother Geraldine Wable; grandparents Betty and Woodrow "Brownie" Brown and Helen and Elmer Wable. Scott is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sheryl; children Brandon, Chelsea and Dylan; father Larry; mother Pat; father and mother-in-law Allen and Linda Bertrand; Sisters Genia Jones, Melissa Stehly and Heather (Ryan) Caudill; brother Tim (Tammy) Gillum; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, January 5, 2009 from 5‑8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family would like to thank all those who have been supportive during these past 3 difficult years. In lieu of flowers donations may be placed into a trust fund for Scotts' children at Universal One Credit Union.
