Scott Michael Ankney

Scott Michael Ankney, age 60, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly early on the morning of Friday, July 8, 2022. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on March 22, 1962, the son of the late Donald and Carol Ankney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Patricia Wheeler; and brother-in-law, David Harrison.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Elizabeth "Beth" Ankney; daughter, Nicole (Rob) Mayes; sons, Brian (Katie) Ankney, Shawn (Katie) Ankney and Shane Ankney; grandchildren, Ali, McKenzie, Hunter, Madelyn, Piper and Ryder; sister, Cindy Ankney; brother, Ryan (Linda) Ankney; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Pete & Karen Harrison; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Mike) Fansler and Elke Harrison; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, friends and his 4-legged girl, Lily.

Scott was employed at The University of Dayton. He was an avid Bengals and Ohio State football fan, enjoyed time at St. Mary's Lake, fishing, boating, bowling and coaching. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Scott was a Jack-of-all-Trades, always willing and went out of his way to give a helping hand.

Scott was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Best Friend. He was the rock of his family, extremely loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The immediate family will be having a Private Service to celebrate Scott's life.
