Sayoko Fujii Hollis, age 93, passed away at home on May 29th, 2024. Sayoko was born in Gifu Prefecture, Japan on January 23rd, 1931, to the late Kashiro and Kikue Fujii.
Sayoko was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; son, John; and daughter Pamela.
She is survived by her son, David Hollis and daughter in-law, Sonja; grandchildren, Grant Weese, Tara Weese, and Sarah Hollis; and sisters Yoko Bannister and Chizuru (Pat) Quan.
She enjoyed gardening and bird watching in her backyard, sewing, and watching her daytime soap operas.
A funeral service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek) on June 7th, 2024 for family members only. Sayoko will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery alongside her husband, Raymond, at a later date.
