Friday, November 23, 2018, Saundra Shattuck Williamson surrounded by family and friends passed after a courageous 15 year battle of cancer.
Saundra was born December 10, 1963 beloved daughter of the late Honorable Judge Judson L. Shattuck Jr. and June (England) Shattuck in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was married 28 years to Alan Williamson of Xenia. Together they brought two beautiful children in the world Kayla and Justin Williamson. Her family was the thing Saundra loved the most. She loved creating memories with her family during the holidays, cooking and decorating, traveling to Chicago, Florida, Hawaii, and her beloved Walt Disney World. Whether on a cruise or lying by the pool at Pinecrest Swim Club, as long as it was with her family and friends, she was in her happy place.
In the summer of 1977 Saundra moved to Xenia, Ohio. She attended St. Brigid School where she met two lifelong friends Laura Burnett and Katrina Seiter. Saundra was in the graduating class of Carroll High School, 1982 and later graduated as a dental hygienist.
Her beloved Granny Reet (Rita Schultz) preceded Saundra in death, as did her parents Judson and June Shattuck, and brother Judson Shattuck III. She is survived by her husband Alan Williamson, daughter Kayla Williamson with Payton Filson, son Justin Williamson, brother George Shattuck, Uncle Douglas Shattuck of Boston and lifelong friends, Laura Burnett and Katrina Seiter and the best mother in law anyone could have hoped Norma Baker along with a host of cousins from Cincinnati and Kentucky.
There are so many things to know and love about Saundra. Yet the two things that stand out the most are her courageous battle she fought with this cancer. She fought it with everything she had and wanted to be here with her family and friends for a greater length of time. Secondly, her family and friends, the most important thing in her life, she loved with all of her heart, and then some. Saundra's life was cut way too short on this earth, but her memories will live on with those that loved her for eternity.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00 pm.
