Saundra J. Black

Saundra Jean Black, age 78, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Saundra was born on December 16, 1938 to the late Willard and Marianna (Munson) Hawk in Indianapolis, IN. She graduated from Bellbrook High School in 1956. Saundra worked for Pension & Group for over 25 years, and then Hank Steinecker D.O. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and had an extensive thimble collection. Saundra was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; and brothers, Charlie and Richard Hawk. She is survived by children, Terri (Leonard) Brocki, Timothy & Twyla Black; grandchildren, Alexandra, Liam, Luke, Justin, Sara; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at Laurelwood Senior Living Center. A visitation will be held at 9:30am on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia.
