ENGLE, Sargent Jr. "Bo"
Born Nov. 14, 1946, in Elkhorn, Leslie Co., KY. to Sargent and Mae (Bowling) Engle. He passed away May 10, 2014 in Dayton, OH following a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). He is preceded in death by his father and brother, Dale. He is survived by his mother; wife, Elisabeth "Lily"; children, Bo, Michelle (Mike), and Travis; adopted son, Grant; grandchildren, Sargent, McKinzie, Mason, Maddie; great-grandson, Sarge; 14 siblings; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other dear family members. All of whom had a special place in their hearts for Bo. In his youth, Bo enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing baseball. He attended school in northern Kentucky and southern Ohio. He retired from General Motors and enjoyed part-time employment at Poelking Marian Lanes where he coached youth bowling. Bo also enjoyed reading, oil painting, jigsaw puzzles, bow-hunting, Harley riding, bowling, watching syfy and western movies, and all things Native American. The family thanks The Hospice of Dayton for the wonderful care that Bo received over the past year. Bo was a special man who touched many lives. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11:00 am, the family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either ALS Association (Central & Southern ALS Chapter) to fight ALS or to The Hospice of Dayton.
