Sarah M. Mitchell

MITCHELL (Cecil), Sarah M., age 70, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008. She was born May 4, 1938 in Rarden, OH, the daughter of Alfred and Nancy (Strickland) Copas. She is survived by her children, Marty (Teri) Copas of Huber Heights, Carmie (Craig) Grooms of Columbus, and Robert Cecil of Huber Heights; one brother, Francis (Gladys) Copas; two sisters, Carol (Guy) Bentley and Shirley (Ray) Short; seven grandchildren, Corie, Erinn, Sean, Jessica, Sheena, Connor, and Christie; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Cecil Sr.; one brother and three sisters; and one grandson, Jason Baldwin. Visitation will be held Monday, July 14, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with funeral services at 7:00 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Evercare Hospice.
