Sara L. Wallen, age 81 of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. She was born April 14, 1940 in Johnson County, Kentucky the daughter of Bruce and Rosella Davis.
Sara will be remembered for her beautiful heart and determined free spirit. She loved to dance and travel, but most of all she loved her family immensely and would do anything to show that love. She is also remembered for her beautiful silk quilts that she made. She was a southern cook by heart making and sharing her famous rice crispy cookies, black raspberry jelly and many other recipes.
She never met a stranger and everyone loved and adored her. Sara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren affectionately called her, Nanny.
She is preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Elaine and nephews, Gary & Troy.
Sara is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harold; children, Carnella Mattison & Chuck Wallen; grandson, Brooks McKenzie and his children, Trinity, Paisley & Roman; granddaughter, Miriah Davis and her children, Cory, Jason, Elijah & Uriah; siblings, Hester Crabtree, Nell Tackett & Bruce Davis Jr. and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday October 25, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a service at 1:00 pm at Newcomer - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Sara will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery following the service.
