Sara Elizabeth Hilgeford, age 40 of Dayton, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She was born June 18, 1982 in Kettering, Ohio the daughter of James and Debra Hilgeford.
Sara attended St. Anthony's Elementary as a child and Carroll High School in her later years. She enjoyed her time at Cardinal Health and Nationwide Arena where she cheered for her favorite team, the Blue Jackets. Sara will be remembered for her adventurous spirit. She was active in the American Brain Tumor Association where she made many friends. Sara touched the lives of those around her and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father; maternal and paternal grandparents and 2 infant brothers.
Sara is survived by her daughters, Mikayla (Spencer) Kincaid of Wellston, Kaitlynn Prater of Lancaster and Rebecca Prater of Wellston; mother, Debra; siblings, Jeremy (Stephanie) Hilgeford and Kelli (Israel) Hoke and niece and nephews, Cameron, Josh and Brooke.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Sara's honor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
