Sandra Sue Smith

Sandra Sue Smith, age 74 of Vandalia passed away on June 28, 2018. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Ralph and Mary Clark. Sandy graduated from Wilbur-Wright High School in 1961. She went on to work for many years at Skateworld in Vandalia. Sandy had a passion for service and used this passion for her career in hospitality. In 1974, Sandy married the love of her life, Bob Smith. The two shared many happy years together.

Sandy loved to shop and travel in her free time. She was very dedicated to her job at Skateworld and enjoyed making it a fun, safe, and exciting environment for the community. She was a loving, caring, and kind mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Smith; sister, Bessie; brother, Dave; and brother-in-law, Jim.

Sandy leaves to cherish her memory, loving children, Jim Clemons, Richard (Tina) Clemons, Dennis Clemons, and Melissa (Mitch) Billy; sisters, Becky (John) Brenner and Judy Hull; brothers, Ronnie (Avis) Clark and Charles Clark; grandchildren, Courtney, Ricky, Brittany, Darren, Amanda, Candy, Adam, Samantha, and Sydney; dear niece, Liz Morris; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 7pm at Newcomer North Chapel. Family will greet friends and loved ones for two hours prior (5pm - 7pm).
