Sandra Lockley

LOCKLEY, Sandra LaVerne (Hamlet), 68, of Dayton passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008. She was born in Crystal, WV and a resident of Bluefield, WV for many years. She graduated Salutatorian of Bluestone H.S., Class of 1958 and attended Bluefield State College later working for the Board of Education. She is preceded in death by her parents John L. and Mary L. Smith; husbands W. Thomas Hamlet and Jesse J. Lockley; grandson Jermaine Hamlet; and great grandson Deshavon M.M. Royster. LaVerne is survived by her children William F. Hamlet, Sandra L. Hamlet, Thomas A. (Francine) Hamlet, Marisa P. (Raymond) Brown, Tonya J. Hamlet, and Deanna A. Hamlet; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings Patricia (Thomas) Morrison; Gloria Williams, and J. Kelly Smith; numerous other family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all; The family would like to give a special thanks to Good Samaritan Cancer Center in Englewood, Ohio for all their care and support. Home-going services will be held 10:30AM Friday, August 22, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30AM Friday prior to services at the funeral home.
