Sandra A. DeLong

Sandra A. DeLong, age 81, of Dayton passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024 in the care of hospice at Wood Glen Alzheimer’s Community in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in Bardstown Junction, Kentucky on March 28, 1943 to her late parents, Louis and Pearl Perkins. In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; brother, Billey Perkins of Dayton and sister, Helen Davidson of Greenville.

She is survived by her children, Deborah (Thomas) Gnau, Timothy Perkins; step-children, Christine J. DeLong, Christopher M. DeLong, Jeremy M. DeLong and grandchildren, Melinda Gnau, Margaret Gnau, Thomas Gnau, Mathew Perkins, Thomas Perkins, Danielle DeLong and Madelyn DeLong; along with many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. A graveside service will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton. Pastor Stefan Rickman to officiate.
