Age 78, of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Samuel is survived by his wife of the past 56 years, Mattie Chandler; two children, Jimmy (& his wife, Diane) Chandler and Yevonne (& her husband, Greg) Goodner; four grandchildren, Jesse and Cole Chandler, Katie and Sarah Goodner; one great grandson, Elijah Chandler; one sister, Marjorie Manuel; two nieces, Ernestine and Jean; two nephews, Billy and Bobby.
Samuel retired from General Motors with 32 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Vandalia Masonic Lodge F&AM # 742; and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday. Interment Shiloh Cemetery.
