Samuel M. Clark, "the man of Steel", of Dayton, OH was born in Phillipsburg, OH on January 15, 1923 to Tom and Lucy Clark. Samuel went home to be with his Saviour on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the age of 90.
Preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Treva (Day) Clark. Samuel retired from Inland, now Delphi, after 35 years as a truck driver. He was a trained diesel auto mechanic from Civil Conservation Service in the 40's. An avid hunter, fisherman, and active in local community development. He loved to garden and a wonderful helper to neighbors, and was the Democratic Central Committeeman of Montgomery County. Devoted husband and father to his 5 girls.
He loved blue grass music and played the banjo. He was the rock and a great role model of the family, he will be greatly missed by Marcia (Ron) Keaton, Sandra L. McClain, Crystal (Lovel) Akers, Debbie (Woody) Diamond, and Lorrie Clark. Survived by 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
