Sammie Ledford

LEDFORD, Sammie, age 67 of Dayton, passed away Wed., May 5, 2004 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta in 1997. Sammie is survived by 2 daughters Marsha Cox (Gary) and Frances Ledford; 1 son Sammie Ledford Jr.; 5 sisters Helen, Ada, Janice, Minnie and Linda; 9 grandchildren Christy, Heather, Stephanie, Jade, Shannon, Paul, Mike, Tim and Matt; 7 great-grandchildren Jacob, Cameron, Cassie, Mariah, Shania, Kalie and Devon and best buddies Jim & Joe Kelley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, had retired from Kettering City Schools after 27 years of service and enjoyed playing bingo. Funeral services 9:30 A.M., Sat., May 8, 2004 at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Rev. Sam Berger officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday (TODAY) from 5 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
