Ruth Ellen Walters, age 99 of Beavercreek, OH passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born April 23, 1920 in Somerset, Kentucky to Clarence and Sena (Stephens) Phillippi. Ruth married Ernest Walters on January 18, 1947 in Kentucky.
Ruth is survived by her granddaughter, Tina Smith; a great granddaughter, Shelby (Cody) Lacy; a great great granddaughter, Emmalyn; a very special niece, Sharon Bastin; and many other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; her parents; 18 brothers and sisters; and a son.
A graveside gathering will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle-Five Points Rd., Centerville, OH 45458.
Ruth requested donations be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 1313 W. Dorothy Lane Kettering, OH 45409.
