Ruth Smevoll

Ruth Sharon Smevoll, age 78, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 in Dayton, OH. She was born April 16, 1938 in Duluth, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Mabel (Peterson) Smevoll, and brother, Roy Smevoll.
Sharon is survived by her niece, Debbie (Jerry) Holmstrom; nephew, Eric (Julie) Smevoll; great-nephews: Jordan, Jacob, and Jared Smevoll; sister-in-law, Joan Smevoll; cousins: Jim Merritt, Charolette Bentley, Rosemary Cooper; and her friends at Kirkmont Presbyterian Church.
Sharon was a graduate of Morgan Park High School, class of 1956. She earned an A.A. degree from the U of M, Duluth, MN. She retired as a personnel systems manager at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She had been a member of Kirkmont Church since 1983, having served there in various capacities.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Kirkmont Presbyterian Church, 3377 Shakertown Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45434.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sharon's name to Kirkmont Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Dayton.
