Ruth Sanders

Ruth E. Sanders "Pootie" passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014. She was born February 23, 1927 in Dayton. She was the daughter to the late Chester and Meda Evans. She also had two very special sisters Francis and Virginia who have both passed away. Ruth worked in a factory for many years. She also was a very avid bowler. She also worked in the Trophy department at Tuffy Brooks Sporting Goods. At the end of her career she opened up her own shop called Ruth's Antiques for more than 20 years.
Ruth is survived by her son Steve Sanders, daughter-in- law Tamela Sanders, granddaughter Sara and her husband Mark, great granddaughter Payton Elizabeth whom Ruth adored. Grandson Eric and wife Kristin. Special nieces Jinnie Sue and Ruthann, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and good friends.
Special thanks to one of Ruth's dear friends Robert Lewis Williams. Ruth loved her garden and working in her yard. She loved everyone she met and would help anyone she could.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home. www.newcomerdayton.com.
