Ruth M. Weinert

Ruth M. Weinert, age 90 of Dayton, Ohio passed away November 6, 2021. She was born May 16, 1931 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana daughter of the late Ervin and Dorothy Shutts.

Ruth was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Ruth loved Nature and being outside, animals, bird watching, soap operas, paint, write poetry, and reading the paper on a daily basis. She was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for 65 years. Ruth was a member of the FOE Eagles for many years. She worked for Hewitt Soap Company for 10 years and she also worked a short time at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Ruth was an avid Bengals and Cincinnati Reds fan all her life.

Ruth was a kind, caring, and patient person, slow to anger, and always considerate of other peoples feelings. She was very family oriented and family gatherings were important to her. Ruth had a great sense of humor about her self and made others smile around her. Ruth made it a priority to attend her grandchildren's sporting events and cheering enthusiastically from the stands. She is going to be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Richard Weinert; brother, Donny Shutts; and sisters, Patsy Shutts and Dorothy Wilson; sister-in-law, Janice Shutts.

Ruth is survived by her children, Carol (Rachael) Weinert, Patty (Jack) Hubler, and Rick (Kim) Weinert; grandchildren, Meghan (Farron), Jaime (Alan), Mychal, and Douglas; devoted companion of 30 years, Ron Wilhelm; siblings, Carol (Tom), Janet (Butch), and Ronnie; niece, Lisa. as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 12pm to 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A funeral service will follow at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
