Age 95, of Dayton passed away Friday, July 1, 2011, at Sterling House of Beavercreek.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Eric Ericson; her parents, Fritz & Augusta (Wilbas) Johanson; one brother, Arthur Johanson; and by one niece, Linda Johanson.
Ruth is survived by three nephews, Donald (Becky), Ronald and Gary Johanson; her great nieces & nephew, Jennifer (Bob) Sherwood, Anna (Devin) Watters and Eric Johanson; and by two great great nephews, Alex & Fletcher Sherwood.
Ruth was a long-time member of East Dayton Baptist Church and she was a talented pianist.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Pastor Timothy Brewer will officiate. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.
Contributions may be made in memory of Ruth to either the Alzheimer's Association or The Hospice of Dayton.
