Ruth Louise Hedrick, 77, of Dayton, passed away September 11, 2016. Ruth was born in Dayton, OH on March 9, 1939 to the late Clifford and Dorothy (Parlett) Blackford. She was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and playing bingo.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, Randall; stepson, Randy (Eileen) Hedrick, Jr.; and brother, Fred (Louise) Parlett.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Roy) Estes; grandchildren, Tara (Adam) Saunders, Jeffery Spencer, Great-Grandson, Treyten Spencer; step-grandchildren, Ryan Hedrick, Nicole Hedrick, Melissa (Brent) Kerlin, Matthew (Stephanie) Estes; step-greatgrandchildren, Elyssa, Elana, Gavin, Hailey Caden, Ethan; sister, Mildred (Jeff) Whitehair; nephews, Kevin and Kyle Whitehair; and many other relatives and special friends.
A visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30am on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road in Dayton, where services will begin at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
