Ruth Ann Kurzawa, age 74 of Dayton, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2017. She was born May 14, 1942 in Hilham, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Coe and Minnie Garrett.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Joe and Keith Garrett; sister, Bunola Garrett.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Joseph Kurzawa; daughters, Carol (Tony) Coil, Cheryl (John) Wysong; son, Lewis (Amy) Kurzawa; eight grandchildren, Michelle Coil, Sarah Wysong, Garrett Coil, Dylan Kurzawa, Adam Coil, Hannah Wysong, Tyler (Melissa) Welborn, Megan Welborn; two great grandchildren, Yahel Welborn, Jackson Welborn; sister, Colleen Kennedy; three sisters-in-laws, Marlene (Norm) Wieland, Beverly Sumner, Sharon (Bert) Hinkley; special niece, Leslie Keltner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends; and a loving church family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Miami Shores Baptist Church (4000 Vance Rd., Moraine, Ohio ). Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 2pm, also at the church, with Pastor Doug Surber and Pastor Wayne Woody officiating. Burial will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Hilham, TN. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Miami Shores Baptist Church in Ruth's memory.
