Ruth K. Nugent

Ruth K. Nugent passed away September 2, 2015. She was born on November 4, 1923 to the late Samuel and Elisabeth Koch. In addition to her parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband, John B.; infant son Dennis; brothers: Frank, Otto, Ralph, and Samuel Koch; and sisters: Betty Wellinghoff and Dorothy Davis.


Ruth is survived by her sons: John, Timothy (Katherine), and Gary (Anita) Nugent; 5 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth retired from GMAC after 25 years of service. She was a charter member of the Sightless Childrens' Club and the Delighted Helpers. Ruth was a life-time member of St. John's Church of Christ.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH). The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Rev. Adam Werrig.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sightless Childrens' Club Inc., 950 Helke Rd., Vandalia, OH 45420, to Hospice of Dayton, or to a charity of one's choice in Ruth's memory.
