Ruth Held

Held, Ruth I., age 80, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2007 at home. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she will be sorely missed. She was born May 18, 1927 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Charles & Oma (Adams) Tinsley. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred, Lee, & John Tinsley; & sisters, Vera Foster & Mary Lou Tinsley. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Held of Dayton; children, Leroy Held of Dayton, Jimmy (Laura) Held of Bellbrook, Cynthia Himes of Beavercreek, Valerie Held of Cincinnati, Mary (Greg) Nash of Tampa; grandchildren, Maxwell & Sam Held and Thomas, Matthew, Emily, & Mary Grace Nash; sister, Edna (Gerald) Canter of Kentucky; and brother, Leon Tinsley of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton. The family will receive friends on Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH from 5-7 PM.
