JENKINS, Ruth Fenton, age 89, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2007.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Jenkins; infant
daughter, Susan, 5 sisters, and 2 brothers. Ruth is survived by
her son, David (Annette) Jenkins of Red Bank, NJ; daughter,
Barbara (Ashley) Bloom of Oakwood, OH; son, Steven Jenkins of
Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Jenny (Daniel) Ronayne of Livonia, MI,
Stacy (Johnny) Sebastian of Miamisburg, OH, Tamiko Jenkins of
Jersey City, NJ, Luke Jenkins of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl; great-
grandchildren, Seth and Laura Sebastian, Derek and Caroline
Ronayne, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was one of eight
children born to Frank L. and Lillian M. Fenton, founders of The
Fenton Art Glass Co. in Williamstown, WV. She attended Marrietta
College and worked for eight years at the Fenton Art Glass Co. After
marrying and moving to Massillon, OH, she co-owned and operated The
Jenkins Insurance Agency for over 40 years. Ruth was on the Board of Trustees for the Salvation Army, and was an active member of The First United Methodist
Church. She also was active in the Massillon Woman's Club, Friends
of the Library, and the Wilderness Center. Her passions included
birding, music, and travel. After relocating to Dayton, she became a
member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Dayton Woman's Club. Ruth's pride and joy was her family. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm
Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Grace United Methodist Church, 1001
